All Restoration of any Materials or Items

Something you own is worn, broken or tired, and you want it brought back instead of thrown out. That is what restoration means.

Restoration is the work of returning an item to a sound, good-looking state. The item can be metal, painted or finished surfaces, body work, art, or a part of a vehicle. We look at what the item is made of, what shape it is in, and what can be saved. Then we tell you plainly what the job involves.

Signs

Signs it needs restoring.

  • The finish is fading, cracked or flaking.

  • Rust, corrosion or pitting has set in.

  • A part is bent, dented or broken, but the item is worth keeping.

  • The item has sentimental value and you do not want a replacement.

  • You are not sure what it is made of or where it came from and want a second look.

How it goes

How a job goes with us.

We look first, we talk, then we work.

  1. You show us the item

Bring it in, call us, or email a photo. Tell us what you want it to look like when it is done.

  2. We look at it closely

We check the material, the damage and what can be saved. We tell you what we found.

  3. We agree on the plan

We explain the work in plain words and you decide whether to go ahead.

  4. We do the work with care

We clean, repair and finish the item step by step, with attention to detail.

  5. You check the result

We go over it with you. If something is not right, say so and we will talk it through.

Questions

Common questions.

Can every item be restored?

Not always. Some items are too far gone, or the repair would cost more effort than it is worth. We look first and tell you honestly what we see.

What materials do you work with?

Metal, body work, art and many other items. If you are not sure we can handle yours, ask. If we cannot do it, we will try to point you to someone who can.

Do I need to bring the item in?

Bringing it in is best, since we can see it up close. A photo sent by email is a good way to start the conversation.

Will it look brand new?

Restoration aims to bring back the look and function of an item. Age and wear sometimes leave marks, and we will tell you what to expect before we begin.

Where we do it.
